Well i've just got back from Silverstone and i know there's only one more
round left in the series but i don't want it to end now as i'm really enjoying
riding the Kawasaki at the moment so i'm looking forward to Brands Hatch
next week.
Practice. Coming from Donington i took a few risks on the setup trying to
cure the slow turning but it turned out that i'd gone to far and the bike
was terrible, so we decided to go between for the next session and
it seemed to work well. After making a few tweaks to cope with the bumps
around Silverstone i was becoming happier with every change we made.
FP1 evo. 13th FP2 12th FP3 11th
Qualifying. After playing about with a few settings i went out on a race tire,
i put in what had been my best time so far but got held up slightly so i came
in for a tire change but with only 3 minutes left in the session i had enough
time for one flyer, i felt i made a few mistakes but i still managed a better
time which later on i found out it never counted and was outside the session
even though the flag was not out (work that one out!). evo 11th
Race 1. I got a good start in this one but just didn't have the pace at the start
of the race to keep with the group in front but i stayed consistent and pulled
away from the lads behind and ended up. 23rd/8th evo
Race 2. We made some more changes from race one so i was ready for a better
go. I messed the start up in this one which was not what i wanted, so i got
stuck in straight away and started picking them off, the bike seemed great on the
brakes so this was where i was making all my moves, i think i could of ended the
race better but that's just something to work on for Brands Hatch. 21st/6thevo
Id just like to say a big thanks to everyone that has helped me this year especially
the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, Marks Bloom Chartered Accountants,
Kawasaki, Elas Integrated Business support, Slick Performance.
Thanks. Dan
